The practical course “Cloning strategies”
Posted: 01.12.2015Sevastyan Rabdano and Yulia Pivovarova attended two-week course on cloning in Moscow State University organized by Anna Golovina in Olga Dontsova’s lab (A.N. Belozersky Institute of Physico-Chemical Biology MSU). They were trained to perform cloning of DNA constructs to expression vectors including such operations like DNA electrophoresis, DNA extraction, PCR, restriction analysis.
Sevastyan presented the oral talk about projects in Biomolecular NMR laboratory at weekly group seminar.

The RRM2 mutant C244S was expressed and purified
Posted: 01.09.2015This RRM2 mutant lacks cysteine that is presumably oxidized when wild-type RRM2 is treated by hydrogen peroxide. Experiment on this protein will help to understand the role of C244.
